Character Counts Coalition

The Character Counts Program is a big part of what we do at A Better Place. This program is a character education program that is built on the 6 pillars of character. Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship. We believe that character is what is most important in life and if we can help the children to understand the importance of being a person of character,  we are contributing to making this world A Better Place!

Who We Are

Amy Ranieri-Artistic Director, graduated from FSU with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. She attended New World School of the Arts Dance Conservatory. Amy is certified with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America as a personal trainer and is also certified in body pump, group aerobics, silver sneakers and yoga steps.

Sarah Sarkany-Assistant Director, graduated from OCU with a Bachelor of Science in Dance Management. Sarah has been dancing since the age of 3 and started competing at age 9.

Tracy Watt-Min Mover and Mover and Shaker Instructor, born and raised in Canada, Tracy moved to Florida in 1993. She is married and the mother of three children. Dancing off and on her whole life, her love of children and unbelievable patience prepared her for the job she was born to do.

Javiar Osario-Break Dance and Hip Hop Instructor, is a 2006 NPHS graduate. He has performed at events throughout the state including Out Break 3 and Evolution 3. Javiar is a member of two break dance crews, Emblem Entity and Gobbstoppers.

Dani Bourke- Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Acrobatics Instructor, Dani comes to A Better Place with 25 years of performing experience and 10 years of teaching.
